Description

The practitioner stands upright with hands at the sides of the belt and the right foot forward.

On command, the right knee is lifted in front of the body.

The movement originates from the hip, and the entire leg moves in a controlled circular motion. The knee remains lifted throughout the movement.

The exercise is performed in two directions:

  1. Outward rotation
  2. Rotation in the opposite direction

The supporting leg is slightly bent, and balance is maintained through stable posture.

Purpose

  • improve hip control
  • develop single-leg balance
  • prepare the body for kicking techniques
  • improve hip mobility

Key Technical Points

  • keep the knee lifted throughout the movement
  • initiate the movement from the hip
  • work in a controlled manner, not with force
  • stable upper body
  • maintain balance through the supporting leg

Comment

This exercise introduces circular movement in the hip and serves as a direct preparation for kicking techniques.
